DUPACO VOICES BUILDING
Previously known as the "Voices Building," the Dupaco Voices Building is currently undergoing a transformation into the new Operations Center for Dupaco Community Credit Union and is slated to be completed in late 2020.
The 174,670 square-foot, five-story structure was originally built in 1924 as part of the Carr, Adams & Collier Company (CARADCO). The CARADCO Company manufactured all forms of wood products. Its design is industrial and straight forward, located on a prominent Millwork District corner with high pedestrian traffic. Dubuque’s Millwork District included the largest makers of windows, doors, and cabinetry in the United States.
Dupaco will occupy the building’s top three floors, with the first and second floors featuring a mix of office, retail, entertainment and community space, according to President and CEO, Joe Hearn.
“Beyond giving new life to a tired community treasure, we want the building’s use to best align with other community priorities,” Hearn said.
