HIRSCHBACH MOTORLINES

Hirschbach is a privately owned carrier that has delivered state-of-the-art transportation solutions for over 80 years.  Their primary markets extend from the midwest to and from the south, southeast, and northeast They are a fast-paced and continuously growing company.

In East Dubuque, IL, Hirschbach purchased a facility that was in need of a complete remodel and expansion.  During this project, which started at the end of 2015, a new metal building was added to the existing facility. Additionally, the existing facility was completely rehabilitated to better suit Hirschbach’s needs.

Part of the renovation included upgrading Hirschbach’s truck bays with better insulation and circulation and upgrading to cleanable surfaces from the floor to the ceiling. However, the work needed to be accomplished while keeping most of the bays operational, so as not to interrupt business as usual. Additionally, work was completed on the loading docks, wash bay, parking lot, and retaining wall.

This project consisted of a complete re-design of the floor plan and all new mechanical systems that were designed by mechanical contractors with help from Gronen. Exterior concrete work and retaining walls were installed in order to provide safe access for the truck drivers and workers at the facility.
