In 2025, a new 2,200-square-foot shared office space began serving the community at their new location in the Schmid Innovation Center. This space provides leaders of nonprofit organizations with a collaborative environment to share ideas, build relationships, and foster new connections. When space became available in the building, these organizations were eager to establish a home that reflected both their mission-driven work and the innovative spirit of the center. 

 

The project focused on developing a highly functional workspace within a lean budget, making strategic use of the building’s existing infrastructure while minimizing unnecessary modifications. Care was also taken to highlight and preserve historic elements of the building, blending character and efficiency to create a welcoming, flexible office environment that supports collaboration and long-term use.
