ABOUT US

As developers who are also building owners, we understand unique challenges and opportunities that range from real estate development, to construction, to restoration, to property management. The Gronen team guides our clients through complex processes and manages all aspects of a project.


We specialize in historic rehabilitation projects seldom approached by other developers. Adaptive re-use of classic but neglected buildings has been a top priority as we invest in neighborhoods and a community’s sense of place. We are also highly experienced in new construction and believe strongly in good design.

 

Since 1999, Gronen has restored over one million square feet of commercial and residential space in downtown Dubuque with development costs in excess of $150,000,000. 

We manage over 1,300,000 square feet of residential and commercial spaces. These various projects have brought new life into the urban areas they inhabit, creating historic store fronts filled with eating establishments, retail and office space, as well as providing space for non-profit organizations that serve the downtown community. Additionally, we offer a mix of Affordable Housing, Workforce Housing, and Market Rate Housing.
